EIC Accelerator technology expert meetings have started
The technology due diligence phase of the EIC Accelerator Full Application is underway. Some applicants are already being contacted to nominate company representatives and confirm expert meeting dates.

The next step in the EIC Accelerator Full Application process is now formally underway.
Some applicants have already received:
- An email requesting the nomination of up to three company representatives via an EU Survey form
- A follow up email confirming the date and time of the online meeting with the assigned technology expert, scheduled for early February
This meeting is part of the technology due diligence phase of the evaluation.
Below are a few important clarifications.
Choose the right representatives
This is not a pitch interview.
The discussion focuses on the technology itself. Applicants should nominate representatives who can clearly explain:
- How the technology works in practice
- Why it is genuinely disruptive
- How it aligns with what is written in the proposal
Commercial or generic presentations are not the objective here. Technical clarity and consistency are.
The proposal remains the reference
The conversation does not replace what is written in the application.
Instead, it tests:
- Technical credibility
- Internal consistency
- Whether key claims stand up when discussed with a critical external expert
Anything that cannot be defended verbally will raise questions about what is written.
This is where assumptions surface
Vague statements, shortcuts, or elements that felt obvious to the authors often emerge very quickly in this type of discussion.
Technology expert meetings are designed to surface:
- Implicit assumptions
- Weakly justified claims
- Gaps between ambition and technical reality
